Two South Burnett RSL sub-branches have received funding under the latest round of funding from the State Government’s Anzac Day Trust Fund.
Murgon and Nanango sub-branches are among 179 ex-service organisations benefiting from across Queensland.
The Anzac Day Trust Fund Grant Program, funded by the State Government since 1965, is administered by the Queensland Veterans’ Council.
The South Burnett recipients are:
2023 Anzac Day Trust Fund Grant Program
- Murgon RSL Sub-Branch – Financial assistance, funerals, members’ functions/activities, hospital/aged care/respite support welfare assistance, meals/food/clothing, and commemorative events – $13,792.55
- Nanango RSL Sub-Branch – Members’ functions/activities, funerals, welfare assistance and administration – $38,703.77
2023 Anzac Day Trust Fund COVID-19 Grant Program
- Nanango RSL Sub-Branch – COVID-safe commemorative events, lost income (through sales and fundraising) – $8965
“Our government is proud to support the Anzac Day Trust Fund Grant Program, which assists ex-service organisations to improve the lives of veterans and their dependents,” Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said.
