Tickets are now on sale for the annual South Burnett Mayor’s Community Christmas Luncheon.
The lunch will be held on Friday, December 1, at Kingaroy Town Hall.
Acting Mayor Gavin Jones has encouraged residents to buy a ticket and join in a festive feast for a good cause.
The event is an important fundraiser with all proceeds supporting South Burnett families in need this Christmas.
“Christmas is a time for giving and an opportunity to come together,” Acting Mayor Jones said.
“By purchasing a ticket to the Mayor’s Community Christmas Luncheon you will be helping to make Christmas a little extra special for those who may be doing it tough.”
There will be live entertainment by the Friends of The Shed as well as raffles with a variety of prizes donated by South Burnett businesses.
This year’s lunch is being supported by Queensland Country Women’s Association, Nichols Printing, Huston Motors, SunPork, Kingsley Grove Estate, Bunnings, Perie’s IGA Kingaroy, CROW-FM, Kingaroy RSL, Sunshine Mitre 10 and the South Burnett Regional Council.
Tickets can be booked for $25 at all SBRC Customer Service Centres.
