A 32-year-old Murgon father has been committed to face trial in Brisbane over the death of his 11-year-old son in 2021.

Kerrod James Frahm was charged with manslaughter in November last year over the death of his son Tristian from a snakebite a year earlier.

Police have alleged Frahm failed to seek medical attention for the boy.

At Kingaroy Magistrates Court on Wednesday, Magistrate Andrew Sinclair found there was sufficient evidence for the matter to go to trial.

Frahm, who is on bail, was remanded to appear in the Brisbane Supreme Court at a date to be fixed.

No plea has been entered.
