A temporary fire ban has been put in place by the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service on camping areas in the Bunya Mountains National Park.
The temporary ban was published at 12:07pm on Monday and will remain in place all day Tuesday (October 17).
The ban includes the use of campfires, fire pits and wood-fuelled barbecues.
The ban follows weather forecasts issued by the Bureau of Meteorology and aims to reduce the risk of bushfires and protect life, wildlife habitat and property.
Similar bans are also in place in Barakula State Forest, Lake Broadwater Conservation Park and the Scenic Rim Trail, as well as Crows Nest, Ravensbourne, Main Range, Girraween and Sundown National Parks.
