A morning tea was held at Castra in Murgon last Thursday to mark the 100th birthday of popular local resident Gladys Birch.
Gladys was joined by family members and Castra residents – including fellow centenarian Mick Purser – at the celebration.
There was music, birthday messages and, of course, a cake!
Gladys received cards and messages from King Charles, State Member Deb Frecklington, Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Governor-General General David Hurley as well as numerous phone calls and visits from family and friends.
“Gladys was thrilled and thanked everyone for their kind wishes, and said she had a wonderful birthday,” Castra’s Jan Irvine said.
