A 28-year-old man has been arrested and charged after a 14-hour stand-off with police in Kingaroy on Tuesday evening.
Police were called to a house in Belle Street about 6:00pm after reports of a disturbance at the property.
A police spokesperson said a man inside the house refused to come outside.
Specialist police negotiators were called in to speak to the man.
He surrendered to police just before 8:00am on Wednesday.
The spokesperson said the man was believed to have been carrying a knife but there was no threat to the community at large.
The man has been charged with obstructing police and wilful damage.
