The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal collision which occurred on the New England Highway near Hampton on Friday morning.

Two rescue helicopters were called to the incident.

A police spokesperson said a Hyundai Tucson travelling southbound, and a Toyota Kluger travelling northbound, collided about 11:20am.

The driver and single occupant of the Tucson, a 32-year-old Hampton woman, died at the scene.

The driver of the Toyota, a 36-year-old Oakey woman, was airlifted by RACQ LifeFlight in a serious but stable condition with chest and abdominal injuries to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

A 16-year-old girl, a passenger in the Toyota, was airlifted by QGAir in a serious condition to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

Another passenger, a 14-year-old boy, was transported in a serious condition to Toowoomba Hospital.

Police have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the crash or have relevant dashcam vision to come forward.

A motorcycle rider was airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital after a crash at Cooranga on Sunday morning.

Emergency services were called to the incident on McKinnon Drive at 10:19am.

A patient was transported to Kingaroy Hospital after an e-scooter crash in Nanango on Monday morning.

QAS paramedics were called to Arthur Street East at 8:19am.

A police operation caught drivers on the D’Aguilar Highway near Tipperary Flat park at Nanango on Monday morning. 

A spokesperson said six traffic infringement notices were issued to motorists who were allegedly exceeding the speed limit.
