“Coffee With A Cop” returned to Kingaroy on Wednesday after a short break … and with an added bonus.
The Mobile Police Beat van was stationed in the Kingaroy Shoppingworld car park for shoppers to take a close look at.
The van is basically a mobile police station.
Officers can do drug and alcohol testing in the van, as well as having all the same computer access they would enjoy from their desks back in the office.
The van served as a mobile HQ during the recent search for a missing man at Proston.
There are two of the vans based within the Darling Downs police district.
Local Volunteers In Policing took the opportunity to erect a display near the van, sharing vital information about home and personal security.
Police officers from Kingaroy Station also chatted with local residents about their concerns over a cuppa at the nearby Muffin Break café.
