A man aged in his 40s was flown to hospital after a motorcycle crash on a private property in the South Burnett on Saturday.

An RACQ LifeFlight Rescue spokesperson said it was believed the man was riding a dirt bike with friends when his bike collided with another rider at high speed.

The rescue chopper was despatched to the scene shortly before 2:00pm.

The flight crew met with QFES personnel and QAS personnel who were already at the scene assisting the man.

The injured rider was flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital with multiple fractures and spinal injuries.
