The South Burnett Saints celebrated their female players, support staff and fans with a big pink day last Saturday at Lyle Vidler Oval in Kingaroy.

There was live music, champagne and platters of food to enjoy under the large marquee erected for the day.

The traditional annual Ladies Day was a fundraiser for Cancer Council Queensland’s Pink Ribbon Campaign.

South Burnett businesses generously sponsored prizes for a large multi-draw raffle.

Out on the field, the day was a bit tougher for the Saints, with all three teams going down against the South Toowoomba Bombers.

This Saturday, the Saints will be travelling to Rockville Park in Toowoomba.

The men’s and women’s teams will be playing Coolaroo, while the U14s will face University Cougars.

Footnote: The Carrollee Hotel in Kingaroy will be hosting Hawthorn & AFL legend Robert “Dipper” DiPierdomenico on Thursday, June 29, from 6:30pm.
