The Nanango RSL Sub-Branch has secured $27,833 via three Federal Government grant programs to help maintain its tradition of honouring servicemen and women.

It secured $10,000 via the Saluting Their Service program to restore plaques at the Nanango War Memorial, $13,727 via the Veteran Wellbeing Grants program and a $4106 Building Excellence in Support and Training grant.

Member for Maranoa David Littleproud said he was delighted to see the Nanango RSL Sub-Branch boosted by these funding programs.

“Recently, I saw first-hand that the Anzac Spirit is alive and well in the Nanango community during a number of Anzac Day commemorations,” Mr Littleproud said.

“These programs offer community groups the opportunity to honour those who have served, and I look forward to seeing what good things will come the from the funds secured by the Nanango RSL Sub Branch.”
