Country music stars Tom and Nick Wolfe – the Wolfe Brothers – will be the headline act at a concert at Bjelke-Petersen Dam later this year organised by the South Burnett Regional Council.
A Council spokesperson said the concert, which will also feature local musicians, will be held on October 28.
The “Day at the Dam Music Festival and Community Event” has been funded under the Federal and State Government’s “Queensland Floods Flexible Funding Grants” funding scheme.
The spokesperson said Council was also negotiating with other artists, including Casey Barnes, Taylor Moss and Will Day.
There will also be a mini-jobs fair and trade displays where local service providers, disaster recovery and employment agencies will be able to showcase their products and resources.
Entertainment will be provided by local bands from 2:00pm with the main event kicking off at 5:00pm.
The concert will finish at 10:00pm and it will be a fully licensed event.
The spokesperson said transport would be available for community members from Nanango, Kingaroy, Wondai and Murgon.
Tickets will go on sale early in June.
More information will be released on Council’s website
