South Burnett trainees and businesses have been named as regional finalists in this year’s Queensland Training Awards.

Three Darling Downs and South West Region entrants have been named in each category of the awards.

Trainees from Cherbourg, Nanango and Kingaroy are among the finalists.

Employers named include South Burnett CTC, Conquer Fitness and Global Engineering and Construction.

The Regional winners will be announced on July 14.

They will then go on to compete at the Queensland awards against other Regional winners on September 9.

State award winners will compete at the national Australian Training Awards in Hobart in November.
