Registrations are now open for the 2023 Festival of the Dams fishing competition.
Round 1 will be held at Bjelke-Petersen Dam on May 20-21, organised by Fishing Freshwater and sponsored by the South Burnett Regional Council.
There will be just 40 teams competing, so anglers should get their teams registered as places will fill up quickly.
The tournament has five categories:
- Total number legal fish, ie. most fish wins
- Biggest Bass
- Biggest Golden Perch
- Biggest six fish ie. total combined length of your biggest six Golden Perch or Australian Bass
- Random draw for teams that have not won any of the other prize categories
Entries can be made online and close at 7:00am on May 20 unless filled beforehand.
Winners will be announced on Sunday, May 21, after the event.
