South Burnett residents will soon be able to submit and track their requests to the South Burnett Regional Council online.
Council’s new customer service portal, Council Connect, will launch on Monday, February 13.
Council Connect will allow residents to check the progress of their requests via online tracking.
Updates and resolutions will also be provided via the customer’s preferred contact method.
“Council has embarked on a continuous improvement review of Customer Service operations to enhance the customer experience when consumers engage with Council,” General Manager (Finance and Corporate) Susan Jarvis said.
“The launch of the ‘Council Connect’ portal initiative will provide an efficient and simple way to submit requests online whilst allowing for accessible status updates of existing requests at any time of the day or night.
“Our Customer Service staff are always available to take customer calls and assist with inquiries during office hours, however the Council Connect portal provides 24-hour access.”

So an online portal will be implemented, which will most likely crash due to cost cutting and inadequacies of the council. Therefore they will have another outlet to blame for their utter laziness and refusal to do anything about the ongoing number of issues in the area.
I still have no idea what the point is of the council, since they actually don’t do anything.
The town is full of home-based industrial and mechanical business, roaming dogs, overgrown properties and rubbish.
It attracts drug addicts and dole bludgers, yet the council will spend money on gardens instead of staff to actually address and implement the local government laws.
