Alice Springs Town Council CEO Robert Jennings has been appointed the new Chief Executive Officer at Gympie Regional Council.
He is expected to begin his new role early in the New Year.
Before joining the Alice Springs Council, Mr Jennings was formerly CEO of Katherine Town Council.
He has served as an executive officer in local government across three States and territories and is also a trained architect.
Mr Jennings’ appointment follows the resignation of former GRC CEO Shane Gray in January this year.
No reason was given at the time for Mr Gray’s decision to resign after just 18 months in the job.
He is now CEO at Barcaldine Regional Council.
