Goomeri will be joining the Gympie Region’s 2022 Studio Trail for the first time this year.

Art + Art Goomeri will be mounting an exhibition at Goomeri’s Hall of Memory in Boonara Street between 10:00am and 2:00pm daily from September 3-18 inclusive.

The exhibition will showcase the works of three artists, most of which have never been seen locally before, curated by Goomeri Creatives founder Angela Pude.

Studio Trails began in 2019 as an initiative of the Gympie Regional Art Gallery to showcase the wide diversity of artistic talent living in the Gympie region.

It has steadily expanded over the past few years to become a popular annual event, and this year it has been supported by a grant from the Federal Government’s Regional Art Fund.

The Studio Trail provides an opportunity to meet the region’s creatives – many in their workshops – and gain an intimate insight into their work, skills, stories, inspiration and creative practices.

This year more than 35 artists and groups throughout the Gympie region will be participating, allowing visitors to build their own itinerary, depending on their interests.

The trail was officially announced by Gympie Regional Council in July.

An official launch will be held at the Gympie Regional Art Gallery at 35 Nash Street, Gympie on Thursday, September 8, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.
