Bendigo Bank has come on board as the major sponsor for this year’s “An Evening With The Captains” fundraiser for Relay For Life.
“Bendigo Bank’s Community Bank Branches of Nanango, Yarraman and Blackbutt are very excited to be involved in this year’s event,” senior branch manager David Poole said.
“It really is a privilege and honour to partner with Relay for Life to support such an amazing cause.”
This year’s fundraiser – at Kingaroy Town Hall on August 6 – features special guests Allan “Alfie” Langer, local bowls hero Kelvin Kerkow and one of Australia’s leading comedy entertainers, Paul Martell.
The format will be a little different this year.
In place of the usual three-course meal, a selection of tasting platters and desserts will be served, so the ticket price has also been lowered.
But there will still be the usual great raffle prizes and auctions.
South Burnett Relay For Life patrol Carl Rackemann said he was thrilled to have Bendigo as the major sponsor for the night.
“Finally, after no dinner two years ago, and the devastating cancellation on the morning of last year’s dinner, we’re back!” he said.
“A huge thank you to all our supporters and sponsors for again helping in the fight against cancer. Can’t wait for August 6!”
Tickets are $75.00 per head and are available online
All funds raised at An Evening With The Captains will be donated to the South Burnett Relay For Life.
