Police have charged a man with assault after he allegedly broke into a home in Cherbourg at the weekend.
Police will allege that about 4:40am on Sunday, July 3, two men kicked down the front door of a home in Bell Street, assaulted two occupants with weapons and broke furniture.
A man and a woman at the address suffered facial injuries.
A 33-year-old Cherbourg man has been charged with enter dwelling with intent while armed and two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm while armed.
He was due to appear in Nanango Magistrates Court on Monday.
Police investigations are continuing.
