A 28-year-old man has been charged with unlawful possession of a firearm after police allegedly found a rifle with a silencer attached during a search of a house in Haly Street, Kingaroy.
Police conducted the search about noon on June 14.
They also allegedly located a leaf blower, which police believe had been unlawfully obtained, and drug utensils.
The man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on July 7 charged with two counts of receiving tainted property, two counts of possessing drug utensils, break-and-enter, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a restricted item (silencer) and possessing explosives (ammunition).

A 12-year-old boy will appear in Kingaroy Children’s Court charged over the alleged break-and-enter of a home in Premier Drive, Kingaroy. Police will allege the boy was found in possession of a stolen bicycle.

A 70-year-old Kingaroy man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on July 7 charged with drink-driving (0.12 BAC) after police pulled over a Holden sedan on Haly Street, Kingaroy, about 11:40pm on Saturday (June 18).

A 36-year-old man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on July 7 charged with possessing drugs (cannabis) and drug utensils after police searched a home in Fitzroy Street, Kingaroy, at 3:00pm on Sunday (June 19).
