A magnitude 3.0 earthquake rattled windows in parts of south-east Queensland about 1:25pm on Tuesday.

Geoscience Australia reported the quake was centred at a depth of 10km.

A map on the GA website shows the epicentre in a forestry area near Samsonvale.

Residents from across North Brisbane reported feeling the tremor but there have been no reports of damage.
