Saturday’s Biggest Morning Tea organisers Debbie MacAlpine and Debbie Neal

A morning tea held at the South Burnett Enterprise Centre on Saturday morning has raised $1016 for the Cancer Council Queensland.

The “Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea” included games, raffles and a lucky door prize as well as a host of tasty nibblies to enjoy.

The event, which attracted 36 people, was organised by a pair of South Burnett CTC employees, Debbie MacAlpine and Debbie Neal.

Donations were also received from a number of local businesses.

There have been a string of  “Biggest Morning Teas” held in the South Burnett recently.

Graham House hosted an event in Murgon last Thursday which featured live music from the Rockin’ Our Abilities crew.

The get together raised $415 for the Cancer Council Queensland as well as funds to support the Murgon Hospital Auxiliary.

And a Biggest Morning Tea hosted by Lynnelle Seiler at Durong Hall on May 20 raised almost $4000.

UPDATE: South Burnett Care will be holding a “Biggest Morning Tea … and Bake-Off!” on Thursday, June 16, from 10:00am to 11:00am, outside their centre on the corner of Kingaroy and Avoca streets, Kingaroy.
