A little thing like rain couldn’t stop the Murgon Men’s Shed from holding its first mid-year Garage Sale last Saturday morning.
The group, which meets three days a week at their complex in Macalister Street, usually holds its fundraising garage sale at the end of the year.
But this year they had so many items donated they decided to hold a mid-year event, too.
There was everything from tools to 12 inch LPs (remember them?), furniture, kitchen appliances and gardening items for sale.
There were also items made (or restored) by the Men’s Shed members as well as many donations from the Murgon community.
A steady stream of customers dropped by throughout the morning, many on their way to vote at the nearby Murgon PCYC polling booth.
