The South Burnett Local Disaster Management Group has moved its status to “alert” as the region continues to watch weather systems around the Wide Bay and Burnett regions.
A Council spokesperson said the region was likely to receive falls of 50-100mm, however some parts may see locally heavier falls in excess of 100mm.
Some areas of the South Burnett may receive additional alerts and the community should continue to follow the Bureau of Meteorology for updates.
Council advised South Burnett residents:
- In a life-threatening emergency, call Triple Zero 000
- For assistance, download the “SES Assistance QLD” app available on Android and Apple devices if phone lines are busy, or call 13-25-00.
- Impacts to roads eg., flooded, damaged. Call Council’s after hours team on (07) 4189-9100.
