A man and a woman were killed in a single-vehicle crash near Booubyjan on Friday night.
Emergency services were called to the incident on the Burnett Highway about 5:30pm.
QAS paramedics assessed two people but found the pair had died at the scene.
The pair have been identified as Rockhampton residents, aged 39 and 42.
A police spokesperson said a black SUV travelling southwards left the highway and crashed into a tree.
Crash investigators have appealed for any witnesses or footage of the vehicle prior to the crash to come forward.
