The Nanango RSL Sub-Branch has received $42,750 in Federal Government grants: $32,750 from the Veteran and Community Grants scheme and $10,000 from the Saluting Their Service program.
Member for Maranoa David Littleproud said both grants were an important part of the Federal Government’s commitment to honouring wartime heritage.
“The Veteran Community Grants program grant will help deliver practical activities and services to support the health and wellbeing of veterans and their families in the Nanango area,” Mr Littleproud said.
The Saluting Their Service grant will be used to install cabinets to display military memorabilia.
“This commemorative display project will continue the tradition of remembrance, and I look forward to seeing the finished work,” Mr Littleproud said.
