A Holden ute stolen from a property on Redmans Road in Kingaroy in the early hours of Saturday was found burnt out in Coolabunia later the same day.
Officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant Dave Tierney, said police believe the thieves entered the house about 1:10am through a door which had a key left in it.
They also searched through a caravan on the property before stealing the ute, which had been left unlocked with the keys inside.
The vehicle was located about 1:00pm on Saturday on Lucas Road at Coolabunia.

Kingaroy police are investigating the theft of a Hyundai sedan from a Parkside Drive address overnight on Monday.
Snr Sgt Tierney said the vehicle had been left unlocked in the driveway.
The vehicle was later recovered after crashing into a fence in Bell Street, Cherbourg, about midnight.
