Time is running out to have your say during the State Government’s review into recent flooding in south-east Queensland.
Residents have been invited to have their say as part of the Inspector-General of Emergency Management’s review into the South-East Queensland rainfall and flooding event that occurred between February 22 and March 7.
The Inspector-General of Emergency Management Alistair Dawson said public submissions would close at 4:00pm on Friday, April 22.
“It is an important opportunity for the community to have their say about their experience from this event, and how they were affected by it,” Mr Dawson said.
“Submissions provide an opportunity for the community to tell us what they think worked well in preparing for and responding to the event, and to make suggestions for enhancement.
“We are keen to hear what the community has to say, and I encourage people to make a submission.
“We welcome video files, photographs, historical records and other documents to support the submission.”
Further information to assist in preparing a submission is available on IGEM’s website (279kb PDF)
Submissions can be made by emailing SEQfloodreview2022@igem.qld.gov.au or by post to GPO Box 1425, Mail Cluster 15.7, Brisbane, Queensland, 4001.
