The body of an elderly man whose vehicle was reported missing on the Brisbane Valley Highway has been located.
On Tuesday morning, police divers found the body of the 76-year-old man in his submerged vehicle at Paddy Gully Creek, adjacent to Lake Wivenhoe.
Emergency services were called about 9:00pm on Sunday after reports a vehicle was caught in floodwaters on the highway near Glen Esk.
Police, SES and a swift water rescue crew searched the area but were unable to find the vehicle.
The death brings the toll in Queensland’s flood emergency to nine.
Police will prepare a report for the Coroner.
