The Nanango Tourism and Development Association will continue to operate as usual after a special meeting elected a new executive committee on Thursday night.
In recent months the group had difficulties securing volunteers to act as treasurer or secretary.
As an interim measure, the roles were filled by former NaTDA president Gloria Kirkness, who stepped down at the group’s AGM last September to act as secretary/treasurer.
At Thursday night’s meeting, members elected Sharon Johnson as president; Terry Mackrell as vice-president; Sue Terry as treasurer; and Simone Hill as secretary.
Mrs Kirkness, who served as NaTDA’s president for more than a decade and oversaw a significant expansion of the group’s activities during that time, will continue her role representing the district’s tourism operators on Visit South Burnett’s executive committee.
