Police and emergency services are searching for a teenage girl reported missing in floodwaters at Booubyjan in the early hours of Saturday morning.
They were called after reports a man and a 14-year-old girl had been caught in floodwaters near the Burnett Highway and Murgon-Gayndah Road intersection.
It is believed the pair were in a Toyota Camry sedan and managed to get out of the vehicle before it was swept away.
Deluged roads and extreme weather conditions caused difficulty for crews and helicopters searching for the pair.
Shortly before 12:30pm on Saturday, a 40-year-old man was rescued after being found clinging to a tree.
He was taken to Bundaberg Hospital for treatment.
The search is continuing for the missing girl.
