An official E-petition has been lodged with State Parliament pressing for the establishment of a pain clinic in the South Burnett.
The petition has been lodged by a Kingaroy resident and sponsored by Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington.
Queensland residents draw to the attention of the House that the South Burnett region has no access to a Persistent Pain/Chronic Pain Clinic for people who need ongoing treatment and assistance for chronic pain conditions. In fact, the closest persistent pain clinic for the South Burnett region is either in Brisbane or on the Gold Coast.
Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to consider the provision of a Persistent Pain/Chronic Pain Clinic in the South Burnett.
The petition was lodged on November 19 and already has 536 signatures.
The closing date for the petition is February 28.
