It’s made it! On Monday morning, Sunwater issued an alert that Boondooma Dam had reached 100.2 per cent capacity and was starting to spill.
At 10:00am, it was at 100.26 per cent.
A Sunwater spokesperson said the spill was only small at present so the water flow was expected to remain with the bed and banks of the river.
However, people living downstream of the dam should expect increased river flows.
“And remember if it’s flooded, forget it,” the spokesperson said.
At 10:00am on Monday, Bjelke-Petersen Dam was at 94.53 per cent.
