The Summer Reading Club is back at local libraries this school holidays!

The program, which aims to encourage a love of reading in youngsters, began on December 1 and will run until January 21.

The theme for this year is “Uncover and Discover!”.

Children of all ages are invited to register for the club via the Summer Reading Club website

South Burnett libraries will join in the fun by providing take-home craft packs and challenge sheets to help keep young readers motivated.

Cr Danita Potter said this was an important opportunity for kids to keep up their reading skills and immerse themselves in the wonderful world of storytelling and imagination.

“Summer Reading Club gives our local children a fun project over the school holidays, with the challenges bringing them new authors and stories, helping rediscover old favourites and learning new ways of enjoying literature,” Cr Potter said.
