A 49-year-old Moore woman died after a head-on crash near Harlin on Wednesday night.

A police spokesperson said the incident occurred just before 9:00pm on the D’Aguilar Highway.

A Mercedes-Benz travelling east and a Nissan Navara travelling in the opposite direction collided near Spring Creek Road.

Members of the public immediately rendered first aid to a woman and man involved in the crash.

The Moore woman, the sole occupant of the Nissan Navara, died at the scene.

A 21-year-old Linville man, the sole occupant of the Mercedes, was airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a serious condition with arm and significant leg injuries.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are continuing.
