Kingaroy Visitor Information Centre volunteer Ralph Argue has spread the word about the South Burnett to visitors for the past 15 years.

Bus tours and visiting groups from near and far have come to the Kingaroy VIC to hear Ralph’s stories about Kingaroy’s colourful characters, the peanut silos and the first peanut thrashers.

But his time at the helm has now come to an end.

This week Ralph handed the reins over to local residents Rhonda Callow and Ralph Clark.

Rhonda and Ralph said they plan to continue Ralph’s long tradition of exploring Kingaroy’s best kept secrets with visiting tourists.

  1. Very well done, Ralph. Yours would have had to be one of the friendliest faces any tourist could encounter!! Thank you for your voluntary service to the Kingaroy community. I am quite sure Ralph and Rhonda will continue your great tradition and stories, too.

  2. Congratulations, Ralph, on your outstanding altruistic service commitment.

You are certainly an awesome role model to the South Burnett community members to look up to.

Marj and your commitment to serving our community is unequalled.
