Three fire crews were called to Bega Cheese’s peanut processing complex in Kingaroy about 3:30pm on Tuesday after reports of a possible fire.
Firefighters inspected an area at the rear of the silos building.
A QFES spokesperson said there was a burning smell but no obvious signs of flames or fire.
Firefighters were still on scene at 5:00pm, double-checking to ensure there were no problems.
