Belgravia Leisure – the company which manages Goomeri Pool and the Gympie Aquatic and Recreation Centre – has taken over management of the Murgon Jubilee Swimming Pool.

Belgravia manages more than 180 facilities across Australia and New Zealand including tourist parks, swimming pools, sports complexes and function centres.

A South Burnett Regional Council spokesperson said Belgravia was working hard to build relationships with the Murgon community, local schools and community groups.

The company has added four local residents to its Murgon team, including a lifeguard, high school students working in the kiosk and an aqua aerobics instructor.

Belgravia Leisure is currently seeking Learn to Swim instructors to get this service up and running as soon as a qualified person can be appointed.

All relevant training will be provided.

For more information, contact the pool on (07) 4168-1754 or by email

Aqua aerobics classes are being held on Wednesday and Friday mornings from 7:15am-8:00am and Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 5:30pm-6:15pm.

Murgon Swimming Pool will begin full operating hours from Monday, November 29.

It will be open from Monday to Friday from 6:00am-6:00pm and 10:00am-5:00pm on weekends.
