An elderly couple was airlifted to hospital after a single-vehicle crash on the Bunya Mountains on Sunday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to incident on the Bunya Mountains Road just after 2:00pm.

The couple had to be cut free from their wrecked vehicle by QFES crews.

A QAS spokesperson said a man aged in his 70s suffered head injuries, while a woman, also in her 70s, had suspected chest injuries.

They were airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane in a stable condition.

Traffic northbound on the Blackbutt Range was delayed in the early hours of Tuesday morning after a single-vehicle crash.

Emergency services were called to the incident, between Blackbutt and Moore, at 12:20am.

No injuries have been reported.
