Volunteer JPs Marion Petersen and Martin Harmsworth wrap up their final day at Shoppingworld on Friday

November 5, 2021

If you’re looking for a Justice of the Peace, the Kingaroy Library is now the place to go.

From Monday (November 8), the volunteer JPs who were formerly at Kingaroy Shoppingworld are now available at the Kingaroy Library.

The hours will remain the same: noon to 2:00pm, Monday to Friday.

The JPs will be available in the small meeting room beside the main service desk at the library.

For many years, the JPs maintained a desk between Big W and the Kingaroy Post Office.

It was then shifted to the court area in front of Best & Less, before shifting again to be opposite Millers, beside the travellator.

The group believes the new location at Kingaroy Library will provide more privacy for members of the community seeking their services.

It will also overcome any access issues for stores in the mall.
