COVID-19 restrictions torpedoed this year’s Dinner With The Captains, but it can’t stop the fundraising efforts by the dedicated organising committee.
South Burnett Relay for life patron Carl Rackemann said a live event, “Auction With The Captains”, will be held on CROW-FM on Friday, November 19, from 6:00am to 10:00am.
This is the second year in a row the committee has turned to a radio auction after their main event was cancelled.
“Last year’s radio ‘Auction With The Captains’ was very successful, and we are looking forward to another fun morning in support of Relay For Life,” Carl said.
“Also, I am very excited to announce that we will be speaking with former Australian cricket captain, Kim Hughes, and former Australian rugby league captain, Brad Fittler, on air during the morning.”
Dinner sponsors Telstra Store Kingaroy are also sponsoring the CROW-FM auction.
