Kingaroy police are investigating three property-related offences which occurred on Saturday which they believe were committed by the same person.
Between 8:30am and 8:45am, a man was seen by a resident removing a scented dehumidifier from a patio area of a house in Alice Street. The man ran off when when disturbed, leaving personal property behind.
Between 11:30am and 11:50am, a resident of a Holliday Street address confronted a man who had broken into their shed and removed a fuel tin and a mask. The man returned the tin and mask before running off with a padlock from the shed. The resident later found a jacket left at the scene which contained ID and other property.
Between 2:00pm and 3:00pm, police believe the same man then went to a residence in Siefert Street and broke in by forcing a kitchen window.
The man allegedly damaged property in the house before opening a gun safe with a key he had found. The man then allegedly removed a knife from the safe before searching the house.
The resident returned home and discovered the man in his bedroom wearing his boxer shorts, at which time a scuffle ensued.
Police arrived and took a 21-year-old Kingaroy man into custody.
Investigations are continuing.
