Music lovers have been invited to check out the first concert of a new vocal group which has been formed in the South Burnett.

“6 Appeal”, under the guidance of well-known local vocalist Julee-anne Bell, will be debuting in concert at 2:00pm on Sunday (August 15) at St John’s Lutheran Church Hall in Kingaroy.

The sextet (“6 Appeal”, get it?) will be performing a cappella music ranging in style from gospel through to musical comedy numbers.

The hour-long concert will feature six group pieces, sung in either three- or four-part harmony, as well as six solo performances.

Most of the members of “6 Appeal” are also part of the South Burnett Chorale or Julee-anne’s students.

They were invited to join the sextet by Julee-Anne who believed their voices would blend together well.

“All these five are extremely talented musicians and singers,” Julee-anne said.

“I wanted to do something that was excellent.”

The group began rehearsing together at the end of April.

Tickets for the performance are $15 for adults and $10 for children (aged 12 and under) and include afternoon tea.

They can be booked online
