Close to 750 cattle were yarded at Murgon’s forftnightly combined agents sale on Tuesday (August 3).
There was very strong competition for export-type cattle and heavy cows were also in high demand, with the best of them selling up to $2229.
Restockers also drove up the price of young cattle.
Recent rains and BOM’s outlook for a wetter than usual spring quarter appear to have increased confidence amongst many cattle producers.
