Kingaroy police have charged five more people with drug-driving offences after traffic operations at the weekend.
All will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on August 16.
On Friday:
- At 10:15am, police stopped a 36-year-old Kingaroy man driving a Holden sedan on Alford Street, Kingaroy. He allegedly provided a positive sample to a roadside drug test. At 8:10pm that evening, police executed a search warrant at the man’s address in Premier Drive, Kingaroy. They allegedly located drug utensils, a small amount of amphetamine and cannabis. The man has been charged with drug-driving and possessing drugs and drug utensils.
- At 11:10am, a 48-year-old Kingaroy man driving a Subaru sedan was pulled over on Youngman Street, Kingaroy. He has been charged with drug-driving.
- At 3:25pm, a 45-year-old Wondai woman driving Ford stationwagon was pulled over on Youngman Street, Kingaroy. She has been charged with drug-driving.
On Saturday:
- At 4:10pm, a 38-year-old Moorland man driving a Lexus sedan was pulled over on Tarong Drive, Kingaroy. He allegedly provided a positive sample to a roadside drug test. A search allegedly located a small amount of amphetamine and drug utensils. He has been charged with drug-driving and possessing drugs and drug utensils. A female passenger allegedly provided police with a false name and was also found with a a syringe. She was due to appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on Monday charged with contravening a requirement (stating her correct name) and failing to safely dispose of a used syringe.
On Sunday:
- At 3:20pm, a 21-year-old Kingaroy man driving a Holden sedan was pulled over on Youngman Street, Kingaroy. He has been charged with drug-driving.

A 23-year-old Memerambi man has been charged with unlicensed driving after police stopped his Toyota ute on the Bunya Highway at 1:50pm on Friday. He will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on August 16.

Kingaroy police are investigating an attempted break-in of two vehicles on a D’Aguilar Highway property. The would-be thieves attempted to force doors, causing damage to rubber seals but were unable to get into either vehicle.

Investigations are continuing into an alleged incident at a hotel in Youngman Street, Kingaroy, at 1:00am on Sunday. A 25-year-old Kingaroy man has told police he suffered facial cuts requiring stitches after being “glassed” at the venue.
