Police are investigating after two males stole a mobile phone, iPad and coins from an elderly woman in Wondai on Saturday night.
The 84-year-old woman, who lives alone in a unit, recently suffered a stroke.
She was apparently resting in a recliner chair in the lounge room of her home about 10:45pm when the thieves entered her house after attempting to jemmy open a door.
The pair took a mobile phone from the woman’s bedroom and a container of coins.
A police spokesperson said the thieves then spotted the woman, and demanded she hand over the keys to her car.
However, she does not own a vehicle.
They then took an iPad which was on the table.
The woman was not physically hurt in the incident.
Police investigations are continuing.
