South Burnett Regional Council has organised an information session to be held on June 12 about a proposed fence at the River Road Oval in Kingaroy.
The park area contains a cricket pitch which was used for Stage 1 junior games this cricket season.
In partnership with the Kingaroy Junior Cricket Association, Council plans to fence a section of the oval and install new cricket nets.
The information session for local residents will be held from 9:00am on Saturday, June 12, at the Marjorie Street entrance to the River Road Oval.
The proposed fence will be 1.2m high and made of black PVC-coated chain mesh.
The Kingaroy Junior Cricket Association has received funding from Australian Cricket Infrastructure Fund to support the project.
