Emergency services were called to three separate car crashes in Kingaroy on Wednesday, prompting police to urge motorists to take more care on local roads.
The first crash occurred about 10:00am at the intersection of Albert and Kent streets.
The elderly female driver of one vehicle, and a passenger from the second were transported to Kingaroy Hospital with minor injuries.
The second crash occurred about 2:00pm near the intersection of Tessmanns Road and Doonkuna Street.
This nose-to-tail crash left one vehicle badly damaged. One person was taken to Kingaroy Hospital with minor injuries.
The third incident occurred about 3:45pm at the corner of Geritz Road and the Bunya Highway.
Both male drivers were taken to Kingaroy Hospital by ambulance with minor injuries.
Acting Officer-in-Charge of Kingaroy Police, Acting Senior Sergeant Scott Prendergast, urged motorists to follow the rules, and importantly, be considerate to other road users.
“We are seeing far too many crashes on our roads that are preventable through better driving techniques,” he said.
Acting Snr Sgt Prendergast said on the same day, Kingaroy police charged six other people with traffic-related offences.
