A 50-year-old Glenwood man died when his semi-trailer carrying woodchips rolled down a steep embankment west of Imbil on Monday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Yabba Creek Road just before 2:00pm.
A rescue helicopter was also despatched to the incident but sadly was not required.
A police spokesperson said preliminary investigations indicated the truck was travelling towards Gympie when it left the roadway.
The driver, who was trapped in the wreckage, was the sole occupant.
