Two men were due to appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on Monday to face multiple charges after an alleged incident in Kingaroy on Saturday morning.
Kingaroy police Officer in Charge Snr Sgt Dave Tierney said police were called to a house in Belle Street about 7:20am.
They found a 43-year-old Ballogie man suffering significant injuries to his face and body.
Police will allege the man was assaulted by two 23-year-old men, one from South Townsville and the other from Basin Pocket.
The duo allegedly used a glass ashtray and wooden chairs as weapons.
They have been charged with assault causing grievous bodily harm and wilful damage.
